In 1972 John
& Bernice Jacobs came up with the idea of a cloth covered
pastry board for making lefse. Not only was the pastry board
great for making lefse it turned out to be equally good for all
types of pastries.
For the past 30 years the Jacobs family has
continued to make pastry boards and other lefse related items.
We do 50 - 60 shows each year demonstrating
lefse making and selling our lefse along with the pastry boards
and other related items.
We now have a lefse bakery and scandinavian
gift shop in Osakis, MN. If you are ever in the area stop in
and say hello. Osakis is about 12 miles east of Alexandria
right on Interstate 94. |
